Am I the only one who sees this as highly dangerous? Thought police in 2050? I understand it´s just the beginning. But imagine what could come from this? This needs to be carefully regulated.

I created flakes like that as a kid, heaving large granite boulders against each other just for fun. Then I cracked the flakes into smaller bits with other rocks. I guess I had learned about stone age tech in school and wanted to create something tool like, but mainly it was a boyish past time. Perhaps the Lomekwi apes needed to vent some energy by cracking rocks, since as tools the samples in the video seem more or less useless.

0:07 what is that boom under the engine at the start? Is it something like the sparklers that were used under the shuttle at launch to burn excess hydrogen or is it like a camera to look at the nozell as the engine ignites? I know there are laws about showing the inside of the engine but I would love to see those shots.

The rolling maneuver is used to place the spacecraft on a proper heading toward its intended orbit. It often consists of a partial rotation around the vehicle's vertical axis ("roll") followed by tilting the vehicle ("pitch") to follow the proper gravity turn and/or to improve aerodynamics.
